And I know this because I have troubleshooted each of them individually and the only constant to this problem is the steam client. Something about the client is not interacting well with my mouse/computer.Īgain the phenomenon can occur at random, but also when provoked by something like: unplugging and replugging my mouse, my keyboard, my headphones, and anything to do with a USB socket as far as I have tested, as well as sometimes when opening other programs (with the steam client open along side this action). When it is not open, I do not experience this issue. I have narrowed down this issue to this very program. However, even when I am making use of my mouse this strange issue can occur, during a game or just moving my mouse to click on something, it will slide diagonally to the top right as I attempt to move in my desired direction. With no input from my physical mouse, the cursor itself will move at random intervals - but always oddly in a north-east motion. The steam client explicitly causes my mouse cursor to randomly drift diagonally across my screen.
